Algebra 2 Learning Resources
An Algebra 2 course built on functions and modeling. Every unit carries the same supports: a content summary, worked sample problems, an equation and rule sheet, a review guide for the assessment, and a hands-on performance task that puts the algebra to work on real measurements.
Content Summaries
Lesson-by-lesson notes written the way the material is taught in class: the idea first, then the method, then a worked example in the format students are expected to reproduce.
Sample Problems & Review Guides
Practice in the format of the homework, the quiz, and the unit assessment, with solutions hidden until after a serious attempt.
Performance Tasks
Each unit closes with a hands-on task where students gather their own data, build a model from it, test the model against new measurements, and explain what every number means.
How Each Unit Is Built
The supports are the same in every unit, so students always know where to look.
| Support | What it is | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Lesson map | The unit at a glance: each lesson, the textbook subsection it matches, and the skill being checked. | At the start of the unit, and again when planning review. |
| Content summary | The core ideas, vocabulary, and worked examples, lesson by lesson. | While learning the lesson, and again before the quiz. |
| Sample problems | Problems in homework and assessment format, with full solutions behind a click. | After class, before attempting the homework handout. |
| Equations & rules | Every formula and rule for the unit on one printable page. | Any time. Print it and keep it in the notebook. |
| Review guide | The skills checklist for the unit assessment, plus the errors that cost the most points. | The night before the unit assessment. |
| Performance task | A hands-on investigation with a rubric, usually connected to physics. | Across several class days, usually as the unit closes. |
Units
Units 1, 2, and 3 are complete. Later units follow the same structure and are being written in sequence.
Unit 1: Algebra 1 Key Concepts Revisited
Linear equations and inequalities, absolute value, slope and the three forms of a line, equations from two points, parallel and perpendicular lines, function notation, and linear models in context.
Unit 2: Systems of Linear Equations
Systems by graphing and substitution, elimination, augmented matrices and row operations, systems of inequalities and feasibility regions, and linear programming applications.
Unit 3: Polynomials & Factoring
Multiplying polynomials, factoring trinomials with a = 1 and a > 1, special factoring patterns, and polynomial long and synthetic division.
Unit 4 and beyond
The remaining units build on the polynomial toolkit from Unit 3, keeping the same five supports on every page.
Jump Straight to a Support
Direct links into the supports for each finished unit. Every unit keeps them all on one page.
